Abstract

A lot of functions must be controlled with coherency in order to achieved an optimize car cabin climate control. This is allowed by information network management to optimize energy efficiency taking into account technology constraints.

The Valeo modular software approach bring a structure to all autonomous functions so that it can be adapted to various car manufacturer architectures.

After a general description of the comfort function to be managed and their interconnections. The paper give a more specific view of the modular software architecture. Then the control software module of the A/C system is enlighten. The description includes the used models, the design phase and the related tools. Finally the achieved results thanks to this software approach are presented in terms of power consumption savings and possible interactions with the engine management.
