Abstract:

The paper aims to provide not only theoretical models but also the variation of the thermal conductivity with the volume fraction of the metallic particles used as reinforcement in these composite materials for automotive brakes, in order to achieve a temperature gradient behavior for the entire structure. Modeling of the thermal events is a key step in brake design, but this is especially important for the design of Al-MMC brakes.
