ABSTRACT

Safety of driving a car as well as efficiency of a driver depends greatly on anatomic position of a body in the car seat. The positions are defined by angles, so called the torso line (from joint to joint) at profile projection. In spite of all that the following are defined as basic parameters: permissible angles of seat comfort, maximal pressure force to break pedal depending on mutual position of seats and control, visual driving requests, seat height and width, headrests as well as seat covers. The stress is marked on the starting stage of the ergonomics research, which based on market demands, anthropometrics and ergonomics analyses, generates those requests that are met by optimal seat design. The work presents an analysis of design solutions being made with the aim to recognize the most important psychophysical aspects effecting motor car seat concept. The aim of the work using the information presented in the work is to be useful for further development and discovery of complex legalities between driver and motor car.
