Abstract
A novel multi beam Forward Looking Radar for Second Generation Adaptive Cruise Control is described. Several technologies have been developed to bring the cost of this sensor to a level that will allow its mass production. It also gives additional performance in terms of extended angular coverage and short range tracking. This capabilities allow the early detection of cut in situations, in curve continuous tracking and stop and go in highways.
