From crude data to valuable decisions – game changers for future mobility
Since 2004, Jost Bernasch is CEO of the Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH in Graz, Austria. In that time, VIRTUAL VEHICLE became the largest research center for virtual vehicle technology in Europe with currently over 300 employees and a turnover of 27 million Euros. Central topics are software-based systems including ADAS/AD systems, trusted simulation, vehicle safety & security as well as full rail systems simulation. Since 2018, Jost Bernasch also serves as CEO for ALP.Lab – the “Austrian Light Vehicle Proving Region for Automated Driving”. Along with public roads, proving grounds, and facilities for data recording and processing, ALP.Lab offers a comprehensive virtual testing environment and a unique test laboratory for Active Safety Testing covering EuroNCAP Tests. In the past, Jost Bernasch held several senior positions including Authorized Officer and Senior Project Manager of Information Technology, Düsseldorf, Germany and Director of Driving Simulation BMW, Research & Development Center, Munich, Germany. Jost Bernasch holds a PhD degree in computer science from the University of Munich and Dortmund.
