Christof Schernus

European research collaboration to fulfil the future safety and environmental objectives for mobility
Dipl.-Ing. Christof Schernus is Vice President for Research & Innovation at FEV Europe GmbH, Aachen, responsible for the development of collaborative research projects in the European scene. He is also the current President of EARPA, the European Automotive Research Partners Association.
He represents FEV in the VDMA working group P2X4A (Power-to-X for Applications), in FVV and in the European Associations ERTRAC, EGVIA, and EARPA. Since 2019, he represents EARPA as president of the organisation. After receiving his Diploma in Mech. Eng. from RWTH Aachen University in 1989, he worked in FEV dealing with ICE thermodynamics in experiment and simulation, hybrid propulsion, and project management.
