General Information
Since the COVID-19 pandemic is going on with traveling restrictions and rules for social distancing, it is not possible to run the FISITA World Congress 2021 with presence in Prague. After careful consideration of the current situation the FISITA Scientific Committee has decided to hold the FISITA World Congress 2021 as a fully virtual event.
What does this mean?
Instead to hold the FISITA World Congress 2021 in the O2 universum in Prague, this congress will be held completely virtually and online. No travel, without obstacles and more opportunities.
Will the virtual congress take place in the same date?
The virtual congress will be held from Monday, 14 September till Thursday 16 September 2021. You can find the preliminary program here.
In which time zone is the virtual congress taking place?
The congress takes place according to Central European Time (CET).
Lunch breaks
During lunch breaks we will offer recipes for traditional Czech dishes. So you can virtually taste Czech favourite dishes with us and later try the recipes yourself
Get stretching
Take a few moments at the start of the day, between sessions and at the end of the day to take care of your health and wellness.
Delegates
How do I register to the virtual congress?
You can register by filling out the online registration form. Registration fees have to be paid in EUR. You can choose from two methods of payment: Credit Card and Bank Transfer. More details you can find on our website in the registration section.
Can I register during the congress?
Yes, but only on-line payment by credit card will be possible.
Will I get certificate for attending the FISITA World Congress 2021 in virtual format?
Certificate of attendance will be possible to download after the congress.
How do I access the virtual conference?
What is included in my registration fee for the virtual conference?
Registration fees include:
- Admission to all scientific sessions and live discussions incl. Opening and Closing Ceremony
- Admission to the exhibition area
- Admission to the Presentation Records Library (those we have received their consent from)
- Opportunity to join a group discussion in the virtual room
- Networking / interaction with all speakers
- Networking / interaction with other participants
- Networking / interaction with all partners and exhibitors
What is the programme for the virtual conference?
You can find the programme at a glance on the website here.
Will I be able to watch on-demand recordings after the congress has concluded?
Yes, if you are a registered delegate you can access the virtual library once it is made available.
What do I need technically to attend the virtual congress?
To attend the virtual congress, you need a good internet connection, your device or computer, and a valid registration. Your log in detail (such as password) is automatically sent to you once you firstly enter the system with your e-mail address. More technical and detailed information will be posted at the official congress website in due course.
Are there any other specific technical instructions I should be aware of?
Yes. Please note there are these technical pre-requisites
- Microsoft Windows or Mac OS based device (except iPhones)
- Latest Chrome or Microsoft Edge Internet browser (Other browsers are not fully supported)
- Stable internet connection (minimum 10/10Mbps)
- Some of the older types of iOS mobile phones and iPADS might not be supported for this streaming platform

Will my paper be published and where?
All accepted paper will be available on the congress website and in the Congress Proceedings after the virtual congress.
When must presenting authors pay the registration fee?
Presenting authors must pay the registration fee by 31 August 2021.

Will there be an Exhibition at the virtual conference?
Yes, there will be a virtual exhibition and contact with partners and exhibitors.
Check out the latest updates from the exhibitors, explore the videos and documents available at each booth, ask your questions and chat with real industry representatives.
If no booth representatives are present during your visit, you are welcome to use the “Contact Us” button at the booth.
Will there be Exhibition opportunities for the virtual conference?
There will be virtual exhibition, meet the sessions, online advertising possibilities, and more. For further information, please visit our website regularly.
